Expecting Markets is an international import-export firm connecting businesses with the products and services they need from around the world. Our broad connections and intricate knowledge of Chinese business culture affords our clients reliable and welcome access to one of the largest consumer markets in the world. Our experience facilitating trade makes partnering for shared value and growth, easy.

History

Our story is told across 3 distinct chapters.

1999

Oilseed

Every great tree starts as a seed, and our seed was planted on December 24, 1999. At the time, domestic demand for rapeseed far outpaced what the country could produce on its own, so China opened its doors to the world to narrow the gap between supply and demand for this essential agricultural product.

However, the increase in supply meant an increase in the need for processing and it is here that our founder, Mr. Tang, saw an opportunity and made it a reality. He purchased an abandoned factory and worked with builders, farmers, and traders to build a rapeseed refinery and provide the community with the product it so desired. This entrepreneurial spirit for value and growth, along with the connections he built all those years ago, continue to thrive in our company today.

2017

Opportunity in

New Markets

The company was successful in trading rapeseed oil for almost 20 years, but market maturity and new entrants meant limited opportunity for growth. As a company, we have always believed in co-operation and collaboration, and so we consulted our employees and partners to discover a path forward that would provide the most benefit to people and profit alike.

In 2017, the entrepreneurial spirit took hold again, and we decided to move into the feed industry. Through our shared efforts and associations, we positioned ourselves as a feed premix factory and brought new value to the food imports supply chain. Here, we entered the world stage and became an official importer of corn, soybean, and wheat.

2022

Expecting Me

& Expecting Markets

With our reputation as a respected importer of agricultural product firmly established, we once again listened to our entrepreneurial spirit and explored new markets for products that we could bring to our growing economy. With Expecting Me registered in the US in 2022 and Expecting Markets in 2023, we were able to facilitate the import of skimmed milk powder from the US to China.

Now, we are evolving once again are uniquely positioned to import chicken’s feet and chicken’s paws from Brazil, Thailand, Belarus, Russia, Poland, the United States, and beyond.
